MyChoicePad finalist for Innovation Award
When we started off MyChoicePad we wanted to empower parents with an affordable tool they could use to help build their child's communication skills. It soon became clear it would have a home in every speech and language therapists toolkit, be used by adults and also as a classroom teaching aid. We were fortunate to have early support and encouragement from some very special families, speech and language therapists and teachers. To them we say thanks for believing in us. Since then the support for MyChoicePad has grown at a fantastic rate.
This week we found out we have been shortlisted for the "Innovation" category in the Technology4Good awards run by AbilityNet and sponsored by BT. We get to go to a ceremony in London hosted by Mariella Frostrup. Whether we win or not this is a fantastic achievement for our small team (and our bigger team of supporters) and so nice to be recognised by the technology accessibility industry. Beers all round!
